Laundry AI
Me 🟦 and AI 🟩 are having a conversation about how to make the best use of AI.
🟦: Hi
🟩: Hello! How can I assist you today?
🟦: Ask me a question
🟩: How much is 17 times 13?
🟦: Uff!!! Can you do laundry for me
🟩: I wish I could! But I can offer tips for you to do it.
Sundar Pichai, has likened the impact of AI to the transformative power of the electricity revolution, highlighting its potential to reshape industries and society.
Comparing AI’s impact to that of electricity shows its potential to revolutionise industries, reshape societal structures, and redefine how we approach technological advancement.
🟩: మనతో మామూలుగా ఉండదు.
🟦: కొంచెం ఆగు బుజ్జి
On the other hand, a few days ago, I came across this tweet that received overwhelming applause from around the world:
“I want AI to do my laundry and dishes so that I can do art and writing”
🟩: Now I understand why you wanted me to do laundry.
🟦: Yes, since you can’t do the actual laundry, with respect to AI, I want to project the word “laundry” in a different way. Laundry is just a term used for help or assistance. Just like we have helpers (like washing machines) at home to take care of our laundry so we can focus on our work, we can use AI as an assistant to handle our tasks, allowing us to focus on our real work.
🟩: Good! Delegating routine and mundane tasks to AI is practical and creative, freeing up more time for meaningful works.
Why taking assistance form AI
We mostly tend to ignore exploring skills/ideas and experimenting with new things, because it costs time to set up the environment and perform. And, it may includes some components which we are unaware of, that needs to be addressed so that we can focus on the core work.
The task can be anything, the reason to ignore are countless.
Let’s call everything outside our meaningful work as laundry work.
If you are skilful enough to harness the real potential of AI to do your laundry work, you can fill knowledge gaps, save time, become more productive and explore things in an unimaginable way.
Now, with a few prompts, your creative space is ready to nurture your ideas. Anyone can explore vigorously, brainstorm, and experiment with new ideas, learn and visualise new concepts.
Whether it’s setting up a template for write an article, drawing good conclusions to your story, revising a technical concept, or, the most important, rephrasing sentences, the options are endless. Think about how you can use this Genie to handle the ‘laundry work’ to support your exploration and learning.
🟩: Sounds good, but remember, like any tool, using AI effectively requires skill.
🟦: Are you talking about prompt engineering?
🟩: No, you need to be good at a technical or creative skill, or at least be curious to learn one to make the most out of it. And I bet AI can buy you more time to explore further.
🟦: Thanks, I’ll keep that in mind. I’ve already started exploring how we can integrate AI into our learning and work.
🟩: So, what have you discovered so far?
🟦: So, what you got for us? is this sentence grammatically correct
🟩: Yes. So, what you got for us?
How can we incorporate AI into our work and learning?
- Self-Reliant: Complete the task on your own.
- Head Start: Utilise AI to set up the coding environment, brainstorm ideas, and create writing templates with simple prompts to get a head start.
- Clearing Doubts: Utilise AI to clear doubts and learn new concepts as you progress through tasks.
- Fine Tuning: Employ AI to finish tasks, such as correcting and rephrasing sentences (the only thing I did for a year), enhancing images and videos, composing background music for your vlog, and doing final edits in this article.
- Learning: When you want to explore a new concept in a tailor-made scenario, give a prompt and let AI work its magic while you sit curiously to gain new insights.
- Self-Reliant: Complete the task on your own.
🟩: Wait, what? Why is “Self-Reliant” repeated twice.
🟦: తెలిసి కూడా అడుగుతున్నావ్ చూడు.
🟩: నాకోసం కాదు. I’m asking for their sake.
🟦: ఓహో! See you in Laundry AI-2.
🟩: Wait, I have another doubt.
🟦: Tomorrow!
